Avangar is Kazakhstan cyber-sport ogranisation that successfully participate worldwide in following disciplines: CS:GO, PUBG.
Launched in 2017, guys showed amazing results in their performance yet lack powerful selfbranding and selfrepresentaiton, their media skills were on quite low level, team just didn’t look cool.
Agency task:
Team management made their mind to improve performance, and asked us: 1st to create new logo and uniform style, 2ndcreate general positioning to organization (to be meaningful to younger generations of gamers), 3rd made media profiles to core players to bring their conversation with media and general appearance on new level.
1st.:
First of all we made complex audit of existing global organizations, to uncover key values and potential territories for brand development: that’s how we come to vision that Avangar future in cybersports is “genesis of geniuses”: from gamers selection, to their training organization is all about to bring new generation of players which are able to rise global competition on a new level.
2nd:
Previous logo was unclear, symbol, which nobody loved but it somehow worked for period of time, players told throughout interviews that comparing to Navi and Virtus Pro they were ashame of their logo and uncomfortable uniform and it emotionally influenced on their performance. We changed the approach with an absolutely new logo: it united team capital letter “A” and “Trident” (ancient greek weapon) to form a new logo shape: unique and stand alone symbol which everybody loved.
Inspired by modern sport uniforms with huge number of elements and know-hows we developed Avangar team uniform approach which is both comfortable, eyecatchy and cool to wear on tournaments and everyday life.
3rd:
Last but not least, number of workshops and recommendations were made to improve media performance of key players.
Results were quite impressive:
Avangar wins 2nd place in StarLadder & I-League Berlin Major 2019, and wins 1st place in BLAST Pro Series Moscow 2019 (both competition were held during 2 weeks in 2019) and guys were not just performing great, but also look tremendously cool.
